Today I attended a class that was taught by a scholar from al Mahgrib Institute. The name of the class was the Prophets’ Smile, and I swear by God that this has been one of the most beneficial classes that I have ever taken. In this day and time, with all the attacks on Islam, mainly on the belevoded Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), we as Muslims are in dire need of knowing about everything that has to do with him (peace be upon him).
The reasons for taking on a course like this are numerous. We need to be righteous, God conscience and God fearing Muslims. The Quran says: “Inna ma yakh-shallaha min ‘ibadihi ‘ulimah”; verily those who fear God, from amongst His servants, are those who have knowledge. The Quran also commands us to Love God and His Messenger more than anything or anyone else. How can you love someone more than another, if you do not know him? How can you defend an attack on the character of someone, if you you do not know them? So, as you can see, the need for taking on course like this is of the utmost importance.
This class was taught by Shaik Yaser Birjas,
a very beautiful individual, in character, manners and his subtle humor. The Shaik teaches in a manner that allows all age groups to understand and retain the knowledge relayed. His knowledge on the topic is wide and vast.
If you want to expand your knowledge and learn your deen, you should definitely take this course. I give this course a 10 out of 10. May God reward the Al Maghrib Institute ‘ulimah (Scholars) and forgive them their sins and allow them into Heaven, ameen…
